Ballerina is a new piece and quite close to the style of composition that I intended for a commission for the Ballet Rambert in the early Eighties. I don’t recall why the collaboration didn’t happen in the end.
Finding my sister’s old musical box with a dancing ballerina a couple of months ago rekindled the idea for this.
